Finally ‘Lion – The Story of the Oldest Working Locomotive in the World’ by Jarvis & Morris. Published by Merseyside County Museum (1980). Now out of print and hard to find. As the name suggests the book tells the story of lion up to its restoration for the Rocket 150 celebrations. Very readable but with a number of errors. A few copies are available from Aster Hobbies Ltd for customers who purchase an Aster Lion or 'Titfield Thunderbolt' locomotive.
