Just a reminder to anyone thinking of the Aster Bulleid Pacific in BR livery with cutdown tender, that we are now down to the very last examples. I have one unboxed and unsteamed Factory built-up example (displayed at exhibitions) and three kits and then that is it! There are no more in Japan.
The SR malachite green version is in sock and will be around for a little longer.

Aster Hobby Co Inc together with their North American distributor, Aster Hobby USA LLC are considering the Union Pacific ‘Challenger’ type 4-6-6-4 locomotive as the next US prototype project. They are currently compiling a list of customers seriously interested in the purchase of this exciting live steam locomotive. (more…)
My kit built example runs as well as the production prototypes. The exhaust beat is particularly noticeable even with light loads. Generally feedback from customers has been favourable.
