On the 3rd of August 2002 Mike Bland, member of G1MRA and of the Sutton Society of Model Engineers, opened his railway by invitation for a charity run in aid of Relate.

Mike has just taken delivery of his Aster A3 Flying Scotsman and guests witnessed its second run on his line. We are able to report that the locomotive ran superbly for about 30 minutes. The six beats per revolution were quite audible despite the light load of four coaches.
